Last Wednesday, November 23, 2016, the General Assembly of the Spanish Confederation of Golf Courses was held at the Retamares Golf Club in Madrid.

President Alfonso Moreno, Real Club Pineda, led the assembly taking stock of the management of its Board of Directors since the creation of the Association. Management approved by the assembly and it should be noted the gratefulness of the same, the great work performed by the president and its board of directors, especially his secretary Pedro Soroa in these difficult beginnings of the Association.

One of the points of the day was the election of a new president of the Spanish Confederation of Golf Courses.

Claudia Hernández, Real Club de Golf de Sevilla, was elected president during the next 4 years by absolute majority.

Claudia, expressed the need for a strong union of golf courses in Spain to address such important issues today as to publicize the economic impact of the golf industry in Spain, the need for water for the irrigation of fields Golf, signage of golf courses, etc …

Likewise, he thanked the assembly for the confidence placed in it to carry out the presidency and communicated its Board of Directors that will accompany him in the position together with the manager of the Spanish Confederation of Golf Courses, Antonio Vergara.

Vice-presidents: Ángel Acha (Añoreta Golf), Javier Ínsula (Making Golf), Luis Perera (Golf de Pals).

Treasurer: Pedro Soroa (Golf el Rompido)

The Spanish Confederation of Golf Courses was born a year ago to constitute a strong employer who, mainly, defends the interests of the golf courses; Is expected to reach 100 associates in 2017.

How to get from María Zambrano Train Station

Añoreta Resort is approximately at 20 minutes driving from the train station “María Zambrano” (25 km). Leave Malaga city by the Av. de Blas Infante and take the MA-20 exit to Almeria/A-45/Cordoba/Granada/Sevilla, keep on the left to take the A-7 exit. Follow the A-7 highway until the exit 258 towards Torre de Benagalbón/MA-3201/Macharaviaya. Turn right and Añoreta Resort will be at 1 min. from the exit.
