Thanks to the foresight and entrepreneurial spirit of Mr. Felipe Acha, the first 9 holes of Añoreta Golf were inaugurated on June 30, 1990, followed by the second 9 holes the following year, creating the first 18-hole golf course in Axarquía – Costa del Sol.

Under the leadership of José Mª Cañizares, the design and construction of the course took shape, and where there had once been a large area of scrubland and orchards, bunkers, greens, and even lakes began to appear. What had been just plans and models that surprised the few inhabitants of the area at the time ended up becoming a reality in a unique residential development in Malaga that, which celebrated its 35th anniversary in 2025.
We have shared several economic crises, a major health crisis, different weather conditions, many budget adjustments, but also many joys with our customers and friends over the last 30 years, and we are convinced that the best is yet to come.

We wish to express our sincere gratitude to the club’s employees for their dedication and commitment over all these years. And of course, to our members, golf society, collaborators, and visitors, without whom this journey would not have been possible.
